19th Century Original Oil Painting in a Gilt Frame
(Ref: 318)I LOVE this painting!! So nice that it is not hidden behind glass, you can see and feel every stroke of the artists hand and feel the warmth in the sense of place.
No doubt a Grand Tour piece, a Chinese Embassy in Italy, perhaps?
The frame is gilded plaster and wood built up into a wonderful case; fitting for such a painting
On the back there is a label for Biggs & Sons Picture restorers in Bond Street, London. It is paper backed.
The visible picture size is 11cm by 17cm
The frame size is 23.5cm x 29cm. At the corners the frame is 4cm in depth.
