A Stunning Heavily Carved Gothic Revival Oak Settle(Ref: 675)
A stunning piece!! Heavily carved with lunette frieze, a three panel back rest with a central diamond shape, surrounded by clover, flowers and naturalistic patterns. Very much in a 17th Century style. We believe it to have been made during the Gothic Revival period - mid 19th Century
The seat is made of two planks and is carved as a pie crust on the edges, the settle being supported by Oak stretchers. the arms are flanked by a Lions head and mane.
Having been lovingly restored it is ready to be a characterful and masterful addition to any hallway, landing or kitchen. Indeed, anywhere that would do it justice!
