Antique Museum Display Cabinet c.1920(Ref: 192)
This is a truly stunning piece of furniture!
It could be the perfect display cabinet at home, for all of your collectables - or in a retail environment.
We have loved having it in our shop as it displays all of our little curiosities so well.
The original wiring is obsolete, as are the lights. We are planning to get this fixed up with new lighting and wiring, or you may have your own ideas.
There is a series of 6 holes in the wood at the top on the inside, I presume for letting natural light/air in. they haven't been made particularly carefully to be honest....but, you can't see them.
At some point there was a lock at the top centre, but this has been removed and it is just the keyhole remaining.
It sits on cabriole legs to the front and back, and has a small brass locking system on the front right hand side of the door. Inside there are 2 glass shelves which are both adjustable using small brass fittings.
