Stunning quality Chess set made by F.H. Ayres circa 1900 in the Staunton Chessmen pattern.

32 weighted Chess pieces, red crown stamps present on the Knights and the Rooks.  Typically made from Boxwood and Ebony.

The King is 10cm tall

The black bishops have some damage to the top and some of the Pawns have had repairs.  Nevertheless, this is still a highly desirable and collectable set.

The pieces are stored in a suitable box but I doubt it is the original. 

The quality feels divine!
