The RRS John Biscoe was a supply and research vessel used by the British Antartic Survey between 1956 and 1991.  This lighter and its original box is from that ship. It is immaculate and is engraved and highlighted with white enamel on a black polished surface R.R.S. "JOHN BISCOE".  I don't think it has been used.

The lighter is manufactured by Rolstar.

Dimensions:  Height 5.5cm - diameter 5.5cm.

Box - height 6cm x. 6.5cm diameter
