WW1 Military Pocket Watch by H.Williamson
A WW1 military pocket watch by H.Williamson made for Admirals and the Royal Flying Corps.
The unusal seconds indictor position was a way for HM to use up surplus Hunter calibres and fulfil their contract with the MOD.
On the face, top centre in times roman, is the name H.Williamson Ltd, LONDON and the specific model number - 27840F which can also be found on the side and the MOD arrow above it on the verso.
It winds with the button the top and it is working. The back is unscrewable apparently but I cannot undo it. Although there are a few marks where someone has tried to prise it open
Dimensions: approx 5.5cm radius and 2cm depth
